Are you looking for an internship in the field of international marketing, tourism, and luxury lifestyle? At the leading department store in the Netherlands? Then you may be the candidate we are looking for! We are currently looking for an International Marketing intern in the Marketing & Communication department. It concerns a work placement of at least 5 months, 5 days a week. The start date is preferably 15 March (other dates: may be agreed).

About Marketing & Communication

De Bijenkorf has the ambition to be the most inspiring, creative and surprising department store in the Netherlands where everyone is special. With top brands from all over the world, iconic buildings and a successful omnichannel strategy, de Bijenkorf have acquired a solid position in the Netherlands. Our Marketing & Communication department works daily on developing high-profile campaigns and content for all our customers. The teams work closely together and within the department, there are good growth opportunities where you can grow as a specialist into a generalist and vice versa.

The department consists of the following teams:

PR & Media: this team is responsible for public relations, (internal) communication and spokesperson;

Digital Content team: responsible for the design and production of all content & campaigns on the digital channels of the Bijenkorf;

Campaign team: this team includes the development of all our marketing campaigns. These can have both a local and an international focus;

CRM & Insights: the colleagues in this team are responsible for the loyalty program of the Bijenkorf (Privilege Membership Program) and here all analyzes are performed on marketing/consumer data.

A selection of the various activities:

Collecting content for advertisements and advertorials；

Supervising the creation process together with internal and external parties;

Coordinate and implement subprojects focused on the tourism market;

Text and image editing for various purposes;

Performing market analysis, making business reports and all kinds of administrative work;

Based on your specialization and experience, you can look at specific tasks in the field of International Marketing.

Job requirements

We are looking for a candidate within the following profile:

Studying at a relevant HBO / WO course (Marketing, Communication, Brand Identity, Tourism, International Business, Economy and / or Commerce);

Affinity with the Bijenkorf range;

Proactive, independent, accurate, 'hands-on', analytical, creative;

Control of programs within MS Office such as Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations;

Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in both word and writing;

Intercultural experience is a plus, as is mastery of other foreign languages (For example German, French, Mandarin, Arabic, Indonesian, Russian)
